Our Story
In 2018 Kaan Bingöl began researching whether AI could read architectural drawings during his master's thesis. He spent two years training convolutional neural networks to understand architectural plans.
In 2020 this work left academia and became a startup. With TÜBİTAK TEYDEB 1512 funding, Kaan founded Algomim. He then fed the technology not just from behind a screen but from the field: conducting site inspections, checking projects against regulations, generating new designs. He went through the Albaraka Garaj and METU Growth Circuit accelerator programs, maturing both the product and the business model.
In 2023 this expertise turned into the first tangible product. A solution generating interior designs with genetic algorithms. Today Algomim continues to grow as a fully agentic platform that brings large language models to architectural design, working alongside designers at every stage of the process.
